(Perhaps next time when thinking that a person can determine a dogs hip rating from a picture they should think about it first. The only picture that can determine the hip score of a dog is an x-ray)

On August 27th 2011 Venture Glasgowhill's Meet Me Halfway is now crufts qualified! Not only did he qualify for Crufts - he did it in style! At his very first ever Championship Show he took 1st place. By the breed records he is only the second dog imported to the UK from Canada to qualify on UK soil. And certainly the first imported into Scotland to Qualify! The first dog qualified on UK soil was infact his half brother Pride Can Ch Glasgowhill's With Pride who lives in England!

Venture's story: Well where do I start. Venture was a dog that we were going to keep, BUT when we shipped his 1/2 brother (Can ch Glasgowhill's Future Vision) to the Uk to Wicani kennels, something was wrong on the day he was to travel. Scifi became very sick . I tried franticly to call the owners to tell them, and at one point was considering NOT to send him. Once I got ahold of his owners in the UK they assured me that all would be OK and I offered at that time to pay for any vet bills to treat Scifi. At one point I did send them money . As time went on there was some change in Scifi but not to my liking, so I offered the Wicani kennels Venture as a replacement for Scifi . She declined! This was not a dog I was offering to anyone else, just this kennel, but unknown to me Wicani kennels told the Strobroy kennels I had this dog for sale. I got an e mail asking if I would consider selling him to this kennel . WELL I was not in any way impressed that someone would take it upon themselves to offer a dog they knew was not being offered to anyone else . Well, I told the Stroybroy kennel I would have to think about it and get back to them. In the meantime I had an e mail from the Wicani kennel, the same day I said yes to Loraine, asking me to please call them . So I did and I was shocked with what was being said to me! None of it I will repeat out of respect to both parties. I had already told the Strobroy kennels they could indeed buy the dog and I was not going to back on my word to them. From this day forward I refused to get involved in what ever was going on with these two kennels. Because I was selling a dog to the Strobroy kennels, I was told some very nasty things by the Wicani kennels about this person. They felt I needed to know BEFORE I SHIPPED the dog. I was so pissed off for being put in this position, but the only interest I had was the well being of my dog .
If anyone knows me, and knows me well, they KNOW I will always confirm rumors by confronting the people involved. And for the record, as both kennels have gotten dogs from me (which I'm am very proud of), I feel that I should have never been put in this position by the Wicani kennels. Nor should they have devalued personal information about someone they considered their friend. This shows a total lack of regard the Wicani kennels has for other people. I am not this type of person, and value my friendships greatly.
I am so happy that I sold Venture, Sci Fi, and Pride to these kennels, but not so proud to call Wicani a FRIEND. And after seeing some of the things published about me and my dogs on her forum I would rather not have such a nasty two faced person in my life. I don't care if this offends Wicani Collies followers either! I have ALWAYS been a Honest person, I have always stood behind my dogs, and I am so very proud of my breeding program and what these dogs HAVE DONE and will do for the collies in the UK . And whatever other country I send dogs to.
